Artist Statement: Alison Trim has lived in Bantry for the past 15 years, and recently graduated from the BA in
Visual Art with DIT on Sherkin Island. Alison's art practice explores the intimate relationship between figure and space, through an observation
of both movement and stillness. Her work uses both digital photography and video, challenging each medium's specific relationship to movement,
and the ability of the lens to create a distance and define a space. Drawing is also an integral part of her art practice, translating the
digital information recorded on camera through a physical process part of a series of photographs exploring movement.
