Artist statement: What inspires me? I paint how I feel. I am lucky because I am short sighted which enables me
to live in two different worlds, the sighted and the sensory. Painting comes from the latter, sun glinting off a lump of coal or a piece of music,
how it makes me feel not what I see. I also feel in colours every life experience translates itself onto canvas. Whether a fight with my mother,
a smile from a child on the street or a momentous world event. These all make me who I am and all that I am is in my work.
