Catherine White - Artist
Honours Degree - Crawford College of Art

Catherine White lives and works in West Cork. She graduated from the Crawford College of art and Design in 2001 with an Honours Degree in Fine Art Painting. Since then she has been working part-time at painting and mixed media. Her inspiration is from the local landscape and community. She works in oil paint, pastels, colouring pencils and ink. Subject matter ranges from animals such as cats, birds and wildlife to landscape. Recently she has been going to the country market in Skibberen to sell some of her art work.

Catherine can often be seen at Skibbereen Farmers Market on Saturdays. There you can usually see a large collection of her work. Catherine is a very modest artist but she like all artists would love to talk to you about her artwork and inspirations. Her work is bright and colourfull, showing her unique take on the local farm animals, wildlife and landscapes. Some of Catherine's canvases are very large and colourfully bold, these are difficult to transport so not always on show at the market place.
